Oregon started their game with River Ridge in a big way Thursday. A seven-run first inning set the table for an ultimate 13-0 win.
Oregon pitchers Schlictmann and Halverson allowed only one hit. Ella Dannhorn produced three hits for the Panthers, while Abree Barker, Kaelin Schaffer, Madi Schaffer, Emma Schlictmann and Brooke Halverson each added hits.
Coach Nate Rogers said the team never looked back after that huge first inning.
The win brought the Hawks to 1-1 on the young season.
The Hawks host Pearl City today and are on the road at Milledgeville on March 18th.
